A porcelain clown dressed in red and yellow with a delicate white face, red lips and dark eyes poses next to a pumpkin, a gold bucket of radishes, a potted plant with big white leaves, two cobs of multi-colored corn and three eggs. The surface is covered with a freely arranged sheet with triangular multicolored pattern - pink, white and dark purple. The background has two mirrors that reflect the back of the objects. One of the mirros has an elaborate wooden frame depicting flowers on its edges.

A quilt with concentric geometric patterns, is spread out organically and unevenly. Upon it are a blue, ceramic cat, a plate of fruit and a glass vase containing delicate white plants.

A cloth with a simple multi-colored pattern is tied roughly into two knots allowing folds and creases to form freely. The shapes of the pattern are possibly diamonds but hard to recognize due to the many folds. A thin, white cord winds around the sheet on both ends. The background is white with a grey background consisting of the sheet's shadow and nine vertically tilted stripes.

Knotted Fabric

The artist ties a colorful textile into two knots, creating many shadowed folds and ridges. She contrasts that with the clean white background and its simple striped pattern.

Outcast Clown

Besides painting, Lourdes had many interests throughout her life- beads, stamps and dolls to name a few. She seems to have had a period where she specifically focused on clown dolls, as seen here and in Clownish Reflection.

Two zebras drink from a pool of water. The shore of the water seems to extend up indefinitely behind the zebras like a wall.
