Archive Contributors

This post celebrates a major update.

First, a special thanks to Thomas Perez Jr., the artist’s son (and my brother), who sent me some photos of Lourdes’ paintings, three of which are still part of the archive (and others find use later on). The first version, which I shared only with our immediate family, was made entirely with his photos.

The website was created and is currently administered by me, Stephan E Perez. You can learn more about my art on my website.

Finally, the biggest contribution of archive material has come from Thomas Perez Sr., the artist’s husband (and my father). He has contributed photos and information on over 20 works by the artist, making up the bulk of the current archive. The photos are a mix of recently taken digital photos as well as scans of old photo slides (in the case of works no longer in their home). Nearly as important, he has provided years, titles and measurements for each work, something that would have been very difficult for anyone else.

Additionally, he has provided the old resumé shown here, once used by Lourdes for a job application. It provides a bit of context for this archive.

With this update, I’m happy to ‘officially’ open the website, ie. begin sharing it more publicly.
